Browsing through the web is fun but can take hours to visit every
single website and blog for updates that you wish to read. what if you
get all the headlines and bylines of current stories and updates on a
single platform. You can do it through RSS Feeds.
The technical acronym for RSS is “Really Simple Syndication”, an XML format that was created to syndicate news, and be a means to share content on the web.
There are practically three purposes for using RSS viz; to publicize, to organize and to guide.
1. To publicize what you have written: Every
blog publishing platform usually includes at least an rss feed of the
posts to the blog. some blogs offer comments feeds or specific post.
You can also create a feed in any number of tools like feed burner and then share it with your readers and other communities so that what you write can be seen easily by others.
2. To organize what you read: Through feed aggregators, email feeds, or mobile feeds, you can decide exactly what you’d like to be presented with to read.
3. To guide others what they should read: you
can use tools like grazr, mysyndicaat, or yahoo pipes to create a list
of current readings from multiple blogs. Here is a brief list of RSS
tool vendors (english ) that you can use:
